Introducing TEA Cup Honours - 'TEA Cups' Programme
Spotlighting Bold Moves and Brilliant Minds in Corporate Engagement. Celebrating the individuals and collectives reshaping how listed companies connect with the next generation of investors.
☕ Welcome to TEA Cups
Celebrating Bold, Better Corporate Engagement
TEA Cups is The Engagement Appeal’s flagship recognition program—shining a light on the people and teams rewriting the rules of engagement between listed companies and the next generation of individual investors.
Think of it as the People’s Choice Awards for governance, ESG, and investor relations—but with a twist. There’s no lobbying, no submissions, and no cookie-cutter criteria. Just real impact, observed and recognised by our community of savvy individual investors, governance pros, and Gen Zennial Ambassadors.
If you’ve spotted a board that’s gone bold, an IR team that’s broken the mold, or a leader who really gets it—chances are, we have too.
And yes, we serve tea.

👑 What Are the TEA Cup Honours?
The TEA Cup Honours celebrate individuals and collectives making a meaningful difference in how listed companies connect with retail investors—especially younger, values-driven shareholders.
Whether it’s better transparency, smarter ESG, or just real, human connection—we’re here to cheer it on.
🔍 How We Select TEA Cup Honourees
We don’t do lobbying or nominations. TEA Cups are awarded based on observed, meaningful impact. Our process includes:
Independent Observation – We keep our eyes open through events, AGM participation, and digital monitoring.
Community Input – Our network of governance insiders and next-gen ambassadors share insights and signals.
Editorial Review – Final decisions are made by our editorial team with support from trusted advisers.
🌟 What We’re Looking For
Honourees—individuals or collectives—stand out for one or more of the following:
Authentic Engagement – Real, two-way dialogue with retail investors, especially Gen Z and Millennials.
Purpose-Driven Performance – Business results that align with ESG and social impact.
Leadership & Influence – Shaping standards, shifting culture, or pioneering new approaches.
Accessibility & Transparency – Making the corporate world easier to understand and access.
Next-Gen Responsiveness – Embracing emerging investor values like sustainability, inclusion, and authenticity.
❓ TEA Cups FAQ
Who decides who gets a TEA Cup?
We do. Our editorial and research team, supported by our Gen Zennial Ambassadors and governance pros.
Can I nominate someone?
Nope. This isn’t a popularity contest. TEA Cups are awarded based on what we see—not who shouts loudest.
Is this only for individuals?
Definitely not. We honour boards, IR teams, task forces, and partnerships—any group making a collective impact.
Is there an award ceremony?
Yes! Our first formal TEA Cup Honours event is planned for November. In the meantime, we keep it fresh with intimate ‘Evening Engagements’ and ‘Sunset Sessions’ at venues like Soho House and The Ned.
